If your venue takes bookings through Quandoo, you have a deadline. On 30 September 2026, the platform takes its last reservation. From 1 October, you can no longer manage bookings through it. That is 30 days from today.
This is not a rumour. Quandoo announced the closure on 24 March 2026 after its parent company, Recruit Holdings, reviewed its portfolio and decided to wind the whole thing down. Every market goes, including Australia. The website and app may sit in a frozen, read-only state for a while, but everything is switched off for good by 31 December 2026.
The good news: a booking migration is not a big job if you do it in the right order. Venues that move this week will barely notice the change. Venues that wait until the last week of September will be doing data exports during dinner service. Here is the whole process, step by step.

Key dates: what stops working and when
30 September 2026: the last day Quandoo accepts a new booking, and the last dining date guests can select. Your booking widget and your Quandoo listing effectively die on this date.
1 October 2026: you can no longer handle new or existing bookings through the platform. If a guest wants to change a booking, they have to contact you directly.
31 December 2026: the website, app and all back-office tools are fully removed. Do not count on getting anything out after September.
One thing worth knowing: bookings already confirmed for dates after 30 September remain valid. The reservation is an agreement between you and the guest, not between the guest and Quandoo. But you will need those bookings in your own system to honour them, which is exactly what the steps below cover.
What happens to your bookings and guest data
Nothing happens automatically. Quandoo does not transfer your diary anywhere, and once the platform is gone, so is your access to it. Everything you want to keep, you have to export yourself while the tools still work: your upcoming reservations, your booking history, and your guest list with contact details and notes.
Your guest list is the part most venues underestimate. Years of covers, no-show flags, regulars' details and dietary notes live in that data. Walking away from it means starting your guest relationships from zero; loading it into a customer CRM that sits inside your venue system means every future booking keeps building on it. Do not walk away from it.
There is a second, quieter problem: your Google booking button. If the reserve button on your Google Business Profile runs through Quandoo, it stops working when Quandoo does. A dead booking button on the busiest discovery surface in hospitality is worse than no button, so plan its replacement as part of the same move.
How to export your Quandoo data
Log in to the Quandoo business portal now, not in late September. Confirm your login works and note what your dashboard shows: upcoming reservations, guest database, reports.
Export upcoming reservations. Pull every booking from today through to your furthest future date, including party size, time, contact details and any notes. CSV is ideal. If an export option is not obvious, contact Quandoo support and request a full data export while support still exists.
Export your guest list. Names, phone numbers, email addresses, visit counts and notes. This becomes the seed of your CRM in whatever system you move to.
Export your booking history if offered. Twelve months of history is enough to see your real booking patterns by day and time, which helps you set up pacing in the new system.
Screenshot your settings. Table configuration, session times, pacing rules, special dates. Ten minutes of screenshots saves you rebuilding from memory.
Choosing a replacement before 30 September
Every reservation platform in the country is chasing displaced Quandoo venues right now, so you will not be short of offers. Cut through the pitches with four questions:
What does it cost per booking? Per-cover fees look small until you multiply them by a full month. A venue seating 1,000 covers a month at even one dollar per cover pays more for bookings than many venues pay for their whole software stack.
Who owns the guest data? On marketplace platforms, the diner is often the platform's customer, not yours. You just lost one platform. It is worth asking what happens to your data if the next one goes the same way.
Does it talk to the rest of your systems? A diary that does not connect to your POS means your bookings, covers and spend never line up in one view.
Can it replace your Google booking button? Reserve with Google needs a supported provider. Confirm it before you sign, not after.
This is also a fair moment to ask a bigger question: whether bookings should be a separate subscription at all. Allvio includes a restaurant reservation system with no per-cover fees inside the same flat-price system that runs the POS, ordering and payroll, so the maths is worth five minutes of your time. And if you are comparing the standalone platforms, we have written honest reviews of the main options: Allvio vs ResDiary, Allvio vs OpenTable and Allvio vs SevenRooms cover costs, guest data ownership and what sits outside the diary.

Moving without losing a booking
Set up the new system this week. Tables, sessions, pacing, deposit rules. Use the screenshots from step five. A good provider does this with you as part of onboarding rather than leaving you a help article.
Import your exports. Upcoming reservations first, then the guest list. Most systems import CSV directly, and a good onboarding team will do this part for you.
Run both systems in parallel for one week. New bookings go into the new system; Quandoo bookings get honoured and re-entered as they arrive. One week of double handling beats one lost Saturday night.
Swap your booking links. Website button, Instagram bio, Google Business Profile, email signature. Remove the Quandoo widget from your site so guests cannot book into a dead end.
Tell your regulars. One short email and an Instagram story: same venue, new booking link. Guests do not care which system you use. They care that the link works.
Check the far-future bookings. December function enquiries and big group bookings made through Quandoo are the easiest ones to lose. Confirm each one personally in the new diary.
The switch itself is a solved problem: the Allvio onboarding process moves your menu, diary and guest list without losing a service, and most venues are live within a week.
30 days left. One free trial. Zero per-cover fees.
Get your bookings moved before the Quandoo deadline, with reservations included in one system instead of another subscription.

FAQs
What happens to my bookings after 30 September?
Bookings guests already made remain valid, because the reservation is between the guest and your venue. But from 1 October you cannot see or manage them in Quandoo, so export your upcoming reservations and load them into your new system before the deadline.
Can I export my guest list from Quandoo?
Yes. While the platform is live you can export your guest database and upcoming reservations from the business portal, and Quandoo support can assist with data exports. Do it now rather than in the final week, because there is no guarantee of support once operations wind down.
How long does switching reservation systems take?
For most single venues, under a week: a day to set up tables and sessions, a day to import data, and a few days running the old and new diaries in parallel. The export step is the only part with a hard deadline, so do that first.
